Associazione Degustatori Birra is the main italian indipendent beer tasting association; this page shortly summarizes our activities.
The association main objectives are increase education and knowledge of quality beers. To do that, association promotes tasting courses, fairs and exibitions, editorial projects such as TV programs and magazine publishing.

Training courses
The Association organizes training class to prepare beer tasters. Participants will be evaluated with a final exham and can be rated as Amateur or Professional tasters.
The training includes: historical and geographicals about beers, styles of beers, tongue ridge sensing, brewing materials, brewing processes, organoleptic analysis (visive, olfactive, gustatory), beer serving (methodology, glass and temperature), laws, label requirements, beer nutrictionals, food and beer matching.

Italia Beer Festival
The Association promotes and organizes Fair-Expo along all Italy called Italia Beer Festival with main Italian micro-brewery and a selection of best breweries along the world.
The main event is in Milan.
IBF visitors are professionals, amateurs and simply curios people.
The interest constantly grows and the 2008 edition in Milan had more than 80.000 visitors.

BQ magazine
The Association publishes a magazine called BQ (Birra di Qualità/Quality Beer).

BQ TV
The Association produces a show dedicated entirely to the quality beers that will start on Jan 19. Please refer to BQ TV Web site.


Beers selection
The Association selects beers for La Rinascente, the famous shopping center group. They recently opened a "High Quality Food floor" in the centre of Milan (accross the Duomo Square). The Association was choosen to select the beers to sell and we have our logo on each bottle "Selezionato da ADB" (selected by ADB).
